DEON is a software company based in Berlin. We build the DEON AI workspace: a visual environment where teams and AI work together on documents, data and live applications. Verifiable, model-agnostic and with full sovereignty over your own data.
Our customers include Volkswagen, BMW, BASF and the public-sector IT service provider Dataport. DEON is TISAX-certified and GDPR-compliant.

AI in a visible context:
Instead of a chatbot in front of a data black box, documents, web apps, notes and AI conversations sit side by side on a zoomable canvas. Everyone can see what the AI is working with. -
Verifiable answers (Visual Grounding):
Every answer from the DAIA assistant takes you to the exact source in the document or on the web page with one click. -
Graph Chat:
AI conversations branch out like a tree. Side questions get their own branch while the main thread stays visible. -
Free choice of models:
The organization decides centrally which AI models are used, for example via the IONOS AI Model Hub or its own models. Microsoft 365 Copilot can be integrated directly into the DAIA chat. AI credits are managed centrally. -
Open to agents:
Through the MCP server, the REST API and the Retrieval API, external AI agents read and edit the workspace directly. The results of automated processes become visible to the whole team. -
Data stays where it is:
Files from SharePoint, OneDrive or network drives are linked instead of copied. Web applications such as SAP or Jira run as embedded browsers inside the workspace, and DAIA can analyze their content.
Operations and Security
- Sovereign operation: in the European cloud on IONOS infrastructure, as a dedicated instance or fully on-premises.
- For regulated environments: TISAX-certified and GDPR-compliant, with tenant separation, AES-256 encryption and integrated virus protection.
- For the entire workforce: in the browser and as a desktop client for Windows and macOS, from laptop to room-sized powerwall.
